Take it as it comes
I went to league determined to just take the night as it came. . . . if the table looked like I could run it (which doesn't happen too often - but still I'm hopeful) go ahead and run it. . . . . if it looked like I was going to play safeties, be patient and play safeties. These were the things I was thinking of when I thought "take it as it comes". What I didn't think about was not getting to the table. It's not that I wasn't prepared for someone to run out on me. It happens in this league a lot. I just assumed that in five games I'd get to the table more than twice. And I did. I got to the table three times. One time I broke dry. End of game. One time I broke and made the next shot and hooked myself. Not a good result. End of game. One time I got to the table because my opponent played a safe. I did not get back after attempting and missing a shot. End of game. Two other games I didn't have to get out of my chair. End of games. So if you are counting you will see that I made two balls in game two. Two points. Oh and one of my opponents knocked in one of my balls. Make it three points. Take it as it comes.
